2007 called, they want their achievements back.

Forgot all about my blog tbh! Been up to a few things.

Matt asked me to do Odin as he needed a THF, anything was up for grabs except P Body, I've wanted a E body for the longest time and Odin is fun anyway So I joined in.

First run not so successful drop wise

I did win the lot on that W body, But I passed it as it would of only been a town gear item

Second run, lots of problems due to unstable game after update. Matt and his mule dc'd through the fight and the NIN died so I had to tank for a bit.

But the drops were much better for me :)

So happy to have something that I've always wanted. Even though it may not be the best, it's still a solid piece. Now I just have to hunt around for the money to get the -1 body

But that shouldn't be much of a problem, As I invested in a Lu Shangs. I've been fishing on and off for years but the though of having to fish up 10000 carps put me off taking it further. But now it's so easy to make gil with voidwatch, I got some gil together and took the plunge.

Shot up from 28-35 in 2 days. Making some reasonable NPCing fishies in Nashmau also :D

Other Stuff:

Logged on one day bored. Spoke to a Taru named Sweden, who kindly offered to lend me all the possibilities for the refresh subligar quest. Warned me that it will take several hours but I got lucky and got it 1/32

Also helped Ben 90 his Masamune, Big grats to him! (No screenshot atm though)

Thanks all for now. Thanks for tuning in, and Merry Christmas If I don't update before :)

Fucked sleep pattern = Loot

So I've had a week off work this week. And every time I do so, I stay up stupidly late and mess my sleep pattern up. But for some reason, I always seem to make more progress in the game then if I play my regular hours.

Firstly, We helped Haki get his last 12 helms for Kannagi 80. Grats to him!

Then after that finished there was a shout for Akvan x12. I joined it but sadly only came away with 8 heavy metals (I get lucky on singles for some reason).

It then got to 6AM. And another Akvan shout appeared. I was tired and I was going between 'Do I go to bed? Or go to 6 more akvans?' Eventually I bit the bullet and joined the group.

An hour later, It happened.

I finally have the VW body I've wanted since Day 1! Some people will be mad that It only took me 47 tries. But compared to 1/15 on Mekira and 1/17 on Tocis. It was by my standards a long wait. xD

My WHM is really coming together now. I lack an Owleyes and refresh legs at the moment, but I'm hoping to sort them out soon. I'm also looking to augment my shield.

Thanks for tuning in! Until next time :3

A new beginning!

Hello! This is Audacity here. I'm a EU player on the Phoenix server. Forgive me for any poor spelling and grammar that is about to come as it is currently 4AM where I am.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Dom. I'm 21 years old and I live in Oxford in the United Kingdom.

I've been playing FFXI since late 2006, I originally started on the Titan server but I have moved around a bit. Let me tell you my story:

I originally started out as Raikazamaru (Don't ask how I came up with that name, I was 15 and stupid xD). I originally made an Elvaan character but then abandoned it for a Taru. It was a slow start at first. I couldn't figure out how to move my character! Luckily someone passed by and helped me out.

On my first day, I was doing a bastok quest and I wandered off to Dangruf Wadi, there I met a Galka by the name of Gameesh, He helped me finish the quest plus bought me a full set of Bronze Armor for my Warrior. He also showed me good places to farm to make myself some gil. 6 years later, we both still play and are still friends and it's safe to say if it wasn't for him. I wouldn't be playing today.

I got to around level 20, I was in Bastok for some reason and I saw a Female hume named Takayumi, She was leveling cooking and offered me a Linkshell after I asked her a few questions. I've been friends with her ever since and although we've lost touch now, she was another reason I've come this far today.

WHM was my first job to 75, I remember nobles tunics being ridiculously expensive but it was an item I wanted desperately. So I joined a HNMLS called ShinClovers

I got my tunic after a few weeks and eventually the LS decided to split into 2 groups. 1 group wanted a more laid back schedule whilst the other opted to move servers for a more hardcore linkshell. I went with the group who changed servers and headed off to Quetzalcoatl.

One of the best things about moving servers was I got to change my awful name! I renamed myself to Crumpet (I would still be called this if someone hadn't taken it on phoenix ;_; )We named our linkshell Insurrection and immediately, we set to work on All ground kings and dragons, as well as dynamis, sky and sea (I didn't have sea access at this time). We were extremely successful. Landing everyone in the linkshell a black belt for their monks, as well as numerous abjurations and Ace's helms. It still remains one of the best and enjoyable linkshells I've been a part of and I hope everyone is doing well, wherever they may be.

Eventually a linkshell named Absolution came to our server, Armed with the infamous NASA bot, they took over on most claims, We already got the majority of the drops for everyone so we decided to call it a day on HNM and focus more on other events. Eventually. Kyumo, Our leader decided to change servers to join Minidragons linkshell (One of the best on the game). Nobody was willing to take over leadership so the linkshell disbanded.

I joined a linkshell called Perseverance, a old and established linkshell which mostly did Dynamis, sea, sky, einherjar whilst focusing on Ixion and Sandworm. They were a great group of people but the loot system was extremely unfair, the main attraction for me though was I got paid from killing stuff which dropped sellable loot. So I made a fair bit of gil. One day when we were about to do Medusa, I didn't have the staging point which I swear I had. The LS leader flipped on me so I left. with nothing left for me on quetz, I decided to return to Titan to meet up with former insurrection members

I returned to titan and met up with Shirai. Who started his own event linkshell. I started to work on more important things that I couldn't before due to events, I got myself sea access and levelled a couple more jobs such as BRD and NIN. I had so much fun in this linkshell and still talk to Shirai occasionally today. Eventually Shirai decided to take a break from the game so the Linkshell broke. Titan had nothing to offer me so I headed to Bismarck.

Someone took the name Crumpet, So I renamed myself to Remixed. I met up with Angellus (Takayumi) who was a part of a HNMLS called Discoid on the server. However their playtimes didn't suit me so I applied to Foreal, a EU LS on the server. Although the linkshell was extremely successful, The loot system was leaders decision, and it was extremely corrupt. I camped Fafnir/Nidhogg for 2 weeks straight, making sure we had the ToD at all times to see the A Body I wanted be given to undeserving people, I even learned that one of the members who got one paid the leader for it. After 2 months in the linkshell, I had only obtained 2 pieces of mediocre gear which were both freelot and the leader announced we wouldn't be focusing on HNM anymore. So I quit.

For some time I had been following a ffxi blog of someones called Buttons. I always enjoyed reading it and they seemed like a cool bunch of people. So I moved servers to Caitsith to meet up with him.

Buttons is a really nice person. I also got the name Crumpet back! I had so much fun in his social linkshell just chilling out. I applied for a HNMLS and got accepted. but the leader changed his mind and quit the game. But the social LS I was in kicked me for applying to a HNMLS that botted (HNMLS's bot? Really? /sarcasm). I said my goodbyes to Buttons and moved back to Bismarck.

I met up with a friend named Grizzlie, He was also in Foreal and was also a victim of the unfair loot system. We decided to start our own linkshell since bismarck didn't have a lot going for EU people.

We named the linkshell Ambition, I was shitting myself at first I didn't think I had what it took to lead a linkshell and plus abyssea had just been released. So I was leading stuff nobody had any idea what to do in. However after a couple of weeks it was easier then I thought, We did really well for a new linkshell and I enjoyed the times we had (ambition.guildwork.com)

I had a run of bad luck with my laptop so I was unable to play for a while. Plus my job had picked up. So I took a 6 month break from the game and gave the Linkshell to Grizzlie. When I came back, he told me they weren't doing a lot so I decided to move back to Titan.

There wasn't a lot to do on Titan, plus I wasn't playing much anyway I met up with Gameesh again (who has suprisingly stuck by me, even though I've abandoned him so many times for other servers D:). I joined a social LS called DelinquentHabits. And duo'd a lot of Dynamis with Ceokitty. Titan eventually merged with Phoenix.

I like Phoenix a lot at the moment, and don't intend to leave it. I met up with DH members but the linkshell eventually died. I was a part of TheGathering for a while until Ceokitty came back. We then duo'd so much abyssea stuff and dynamis so I was able to gear myself up quite nicely. I bagged myself a Kannagi as well as being able to afford a lot of nice AH gear thanks to the 800k-1M I was making a day from dynamis. He got himself Spharai, Ochain and Almace but he found a new job so decided to quit.

So here I am now. I'm currently a leader of Titans LS and am a casual player. I'm always willing to help out my friends and am proud of my accomplishments. FFXI has been a huge part of my life and I will never forget it.

Thanks for reading my blog. I hope to update it regularly, See you in game if you're on Phoenix :D

An End Of An Era

Hello. I have made the decision that I will be retiring from FFXIV for at least the forseeable future, and mostly likely permanently. There ...
