So it's been 4 months since the last update.
Happy new year etc etc.
Other than me forgetting that I have a blog another reason for a lack of updates is that there's not a lot for me to do in FFXIV right now. It's been 4 months since We cleared Savage Creator and I've mostly been busy with work.
News from FFXI:
Amanomurakumo completed! Although I haven't played much since as I've been playing a lot more FFXIV than anticipated.
Now back to FFXIV:
I've mostly been spamming Palace of the Dead as well as finishing off some loose ends.
I really enjoy Palace of the Dead, it was something a little bit different from usual content especially with floors 180-200 posing a small challenge even for people who have cleared savage.
It's also incredibly good for money, I don't craft/gather and haven't done sales since patch 2.5 and once the 2 mounts I have up for sale are taken off my hands, I'll be sitting at a cool 210 mil to take into 4.0.
Above are just a few of the runs I've done. It's also great for capping tomes and earning Lore. What's there not to like?
I also finished a relic! Although it was far easier this expansion than 2.0 relics. I'm also halfway through the Umbrite stage of the DRG relic which will give me 200 more crit as an end result.
I know I keep saying it, but I'm probably gonna start going through my PS4 backlog. I picked up Horizon: Zero Dawn on launch date and it was an amazing game and has really got me in the mood to play more single player games. Gaming is very much a social thing for me so I find it hard to sit by myself and play single player games.
For 4.0, I have taken two and a half weeks off work and plan on being awake for when servers go up and not sleeping until I hit level 70. I will be doing this with an FC friend.
And speaking of my FC:
Nearly 2 years ago. I was on Cerberus desperately searching for a static to kill T11 and beyond with. While I was in a group, it wasn't going well and I was offered an Invite to another static on Phoenix in FEAR FC (Now Disbanded FC) who were deep into T13.
I have mentioned this before but the last time I tried to do fights with 7 other people who had already cleared (T9) it was unsuccessful and I ended up feeling terrible. However I decided that it couldn't be worse than the current situation I was in.
From day one, they have made me feel so welcome and confident in my ability to play this game. and while I'm not in my original group anymore due to real life events interfering, I am now in the other group in our FC and I continue to speak with the other group on a daily basis.
So to Disbanded FC, Thank you so much for the past 2 years. There are so many things I dislike about FFXIV but the people who I play it with make it worthwhile to keep playing. I don't think I've spent this long with a group in an MMO which just proves how amazing our FC is and how much respect we have for each other.
4.0 sounds interesting and will make or break this game for me. I'm going into it with an open mind and I'm just hoping it's not going to be a repeat of this expansion where most content was recycled from 2.0.
But from what I've been hearing so far. It sounds like an expansion for change and I hope SE doesn't disappoint.
It's unlikely that I will update again before 4.0 but to the people who do read this:
